Twisted River Hair Studio's Team
After fourteen years in the financial industry, I decided to pursue the passion to help others enhance their inner beauty thru hair. I decided to go back to school for Cosmetology. Now, for over 11 years, I have been able to enjoy helping transform the outside beauty to what is reflected on the inside. After some time behind the chair, I had a dream to own my own studio. In September 2015, my husband and I were able to open the doors to our beautiful new hair studio! It is now so rewarding to have the opportunity to provide a great work atmosphere for other stylists and a spa like feel for our clients. I reside here in the Clayton community. I am married with two sons and I enjoy spending time with my family.
I have been working in a salon since I was 18 years old. I started out as a receptionist and assistant to the stylists. Then God opened my eyes to the dream he had for my life. I continued working in the salon as I attended hair school at Central Carolina. I must say, working in the thick of the salon while attending school was where I gained the majority of my knowledge. In 2003, I started my journey behind the chair in Riverwood. The Riverwood community has been an inviting place for me to grow my business into everything I had hoped for. I absolutely love working on my clients and giving them tips on how to embrace their full potential with their hair. There is nothing better to me than being able to make someone else feel beautiful and go home with the style they desire. I am married with two girls and I live here in Clayton.
Growing up I enjoyed playing around my grandmother's hair salon, not knowing that one day I would make it my own career. I studied Cosmetology at JCC and became a hair stylist in 2003. This has been so rewarding in so many ways. I love getting to know the community and helping clients achieve their best look! I am from Clayton. When I am not at work, I am enjoying time with my husband and our two children.
I am originally from Texas but have made North Carolina my home for the last seven years. I absolutely love it here. I have been in the industry for over twenty years and take great pride in my craft. I am thrilled to join this exceptional team and look forward to serving you with customized colors and cuts! On my off time I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, three daughters and two granddaughters.
I'm a native of Clayton, NC. I have always enjoyed art of all types and being around lots of people, so I knew this industry was right for me! I love that I can express creativity through hair and make people feel beautiful. I have been working in this industry since 2012 and I love what I do. I enjoy working on all types of hair and with different color techniques. When I'm not behind the chair, I am with my family and my dog, Duke. I love to be outside, whether hanging out at home or camping.
I am originally from Virginia beach, Virginia, but have lived in Clayton, NC most of my life. My husband and I currently live in Knightdale I have been married to my husband Brian for 2 years now. We have two cats named Ollie and Otis. We also have a baby boy on the way. I have always loved doing hair and makeup for fun, so I decided that I will never work a day in my life as long as I love what I do. I have always enjoyed making people feel beautiful and good about themselves. Giving someone confidence just by switching up their hairstyle, drives me to explore the world of Beauty. When I am not working, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my husband and cats.
My name is Kyla Haswell born and raised in North Carolina. I’m a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School of Raleigh. I worked at Salon Alchemy as an assistant for some months, then decided it was time to be behind a chair doing my own craft!! My favorite part about doing hair is making someone feel beautiful and confident about how they look!! Color is my passion, making big or even little changes to someone’s hair can make them feel like a new person!!! Family means so much too me! My grandparents have a lake house at Lake Gaston and it’s one of my favorite places to go. When I’m not working anything outdoors that involves water is where I’ll be!! Making memories, and laughing is one of the best feelings!!
